Noel P. Rahn - Partner in Charge
Noel P. Rahn is the Partner in Charge of The Rahn Group and oversees all the group's investment activities. Noel has 45 years of investment experience, and has participated in every market cycle since 1962.

Noel began his career as a Registered Investment Representative at Paine Webber's Minneapolis office in 1962. He rose through the ranks at Paine Webber to become National Training Director in Deerfield Beach, Florida in 1970, where he ran an industry leading broker training program for two years. He then was named National Sales Manager in 1972 and moved to New York.

In 1974, sensing a move towards managed assets, Noel left the brokerage business to become Chief Executive Officer of Investment Advisers, Inc. (IAI), an asset management firm based in Minneapolis. When he joined IAI, it managed $50 million in assets and employed 14 people. When he retired from his post in 1998, it managed $16 billion and employed over 200.

Upon his retirement from IAI in 1998, Noel formed The Rahn Group as his family office. Since, he has worked with long time associate Blake Nixon in managing his family's assets across multiple asset classes, including public and private equity, real estate, and alternative assets.


Blake Nixon - Principal
Blake Nixon is a Principal of The Rahn Group and is Managing Partner of TRG Investors, LLC. In 1998, Blake helped Noel Rahn establish The Rahn Group and since has managed the firm's private investment practice. Blake is responsible for all aspects of private investing for the firm, including deal flow generation, due diligence, deal negotiation, portfolio management, active assistance for portfolio companies on operational and strategic issues, and investment divestitures.

Prior to The Rahn Group, Blake worked as an equity analyst for the Latin American and Far East teams of IAI International in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and London, England.

Blake holds a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance from the University of Washington at Seattle and a General Course degree from The London School of Economics.


G. Charles Daum - Analyst
Charlie Daum joined The Rahn Group in June 2005 as an analyst. Charlie is responsible for underlying research and monitoring of most of the firm's investment portfolio, including investments in private equity and wind power development.

Charlie has a Bachelor's degree from Washington University in Business Administration, with a concentration in finance and marketing.
